Lately there has been many movies that is looking East with Shaolins and Kungfu stunts in the works. Martial art movies sells well. Even previous US release of the Karate Kid was a hit and had sequels to the first. We have also seen the success of Matrix, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and many shows linking the the East with the West.
Even cartoons are following the motion, for instance - Kungfu Panda that was just released recently.In the works to be released soon on is a movie that was inspired by Stephen Chow's hit Shaolin Soccer. It is titled Shaolin Girl. Stephen Chow, who gains wide popularity and reputation in Japan was engaged as a consultant for this Japanese new film, which stars Japanese actress Kou Shibasaki. Two familiar faces from Shaolin Soccer joins the crew in this movie.
