Wedding Candy on Chinese New Year

Since I am still in the mood for Chinese New Year candies, I thought it would be interesting to show you these. These were among the candies I bought. Apparently if you look at it closer, you might realise that these are Wedding Candies. Not sure what is inside because the girls have eaten them since the first day. I only got 2 of each. But somehow these packaging fascinates me. These are imported from Taiwan. I believe these packaging are inspired by the lovely packaging trend from Japan. But Taiwan has since caught up and is very good at producing things like that.

Eye-Candy CANDY

Since I am not going back for Chinese New Year this year, my girls sure miss out on a lot of goodies from family, relatives and friends back home. The spirit of Chinese New Year is amiss since we only have just a handful in the family including our helper. So to make up for their dull celebration, I went all out to purchase those goodies for the kids. We already have friends who have given us the cookies so those were taken care of. I got mostly those colourful candies from the candy store and supermarket.

There is really a big range of goodies especially sweets and mochis. Packed in beautiful and colourful packaging they are really Eye Candy. Lea loves to help me arrange these into the compartment trays for guests. I also made cup cakes for them in plain vanilla with almonds, chocolate, and coffee flavoured ones.

Novelties for kids

I was in the local supermart. My girls tagged along since it was just a short while.. Well it is the X'mas season and there are so much candy and stuff for christmas. They got soooo excited seeing these things.. NOPE I didn't get them but let them made some noise and complain about the unfairness though..
