Seafood Fan Despite Allergy

I love seafood, despite my Allergy to them. Thank god for those anti-histamine pills which I pop in whenever I know I want to have seafood for the day because at least I still can enjoy them but just need to plan ahead. I saw these clams at the seafood stalls recently and i know my brain instantly sent me salivating and sent pictures of Chilly Crabs and that sort into my visual mind. The only think I avoid taking is fresh raw oysters because it will complicate my allergy further. I had them more often when I was in my twenties because my allergy was not quite conclusive and I was on medication. But now i really need to avoid them. Clams, Crabs and Prawns are still okay as long as I have my medication. Do you know of anyone who has allergy to seafood?

Streets

We went into Streets for the second time this week to try out more food. There was the dish that we are ordering for the second time because Rae loves it. It's called Crispy Noodle with Stewed Beef in it. We are fans of Beef. Rae loves crispy noodles alot and loves it when it is still crispy. She also loves the snack Mamee, of course. However, we find that this time around the taste was not as good as the last. It was a little bland and not as fragrant. We had this Szechan Chicken that was fried with peanuts and lots of dried chilly. It was just alright. And I ordered a soupy noodles with Beef. I don't have a habit of remembering the actually names of the dishes but if I do go again, I'll get you the actual names.

Blinds and Shades

I have been meaning to do up the extra room as a study or reading room. It is important to keep this room clutter free since we do have a big collection of art books, cookery books, and lots of kids' storybooks. Currently, we have curtains in the room. The sun shines into the room brightly in the afternoon so we need to draw the curtains to block it. However the wind that is blowing into the room is so strong that my curtains are blowing violently all over the place knocking things down.

To solve this problem, I am considering installing a fuss free sunshade. One of my friends recommended me a link to a shades blog. I was a little apprehensive about installing blinds although I liked it's fuss free and streamlined look. Also the impression of blinds are that not only are they expensive, they are also difficult to install. But I was wrong. In this site, I found some Cheap Vertical Blinds that would have cost me three times more. Also, my fears about measurement and installing woes were all featured here in detailed and the correct way is written out clearly step by step.

Your Blood Type and Personality

I saw this from Bernadeth's blog as a tag. I think it is a very good information as well as our blood types does categorize us into personality types.. According to a Japanese institute that does research on blood types, there are certain personality traits that seem to match up with certain blood types.

I am a type B, true I like things to be done my own way. Quite true about what it says though.
What is your blood type?

TYPE B
You're a rugged individualist, who's straightforward and likes to do things your own way. Creative and flexible, you adapt easily to any situation. But your insistence on being independent can sometimes go too far and become a weakness.

TYPE O
You want to be a leader, and when you see something you want, you keep striving until you achieve your goal. You are a trend-setter, loyal, passionate, and self-confident. Your weaknesses include vanity and jealously and a tendency to be too competitive.

TYPE A
You like harmony, peace and organization. You work well with others, and are sensitive, patient and affectionate. Among your weaknesses are stubbornness and an inability to relax.

TYPE AB
Cool and controlled, you're generally well liked and always put people at ease. You're a natural entertainer who's tactful and fair. But you're standoffish, blunt, and have difficulty making decisions.

How do you rate?

My VAX Under Utilized

I am in a spot over what to do with my Vax vacumn cleaner. I bought it about 8 years ago thinking that I'd be using this for the best time of my life. It was quite expensive compared with the other vacumn cleaners.

The Vax vacumn is powerful and can use it wet or dry, and do mopping, cleaning upholstery, and more. More? I've never gotten past vacumn and the mopping. I used it few times on my sofa and some parts of unreachable corners of the house before. But basically I think this thing is just too damn big and clumsy to handle. But when I was using it years ago, it was fine. Perhaps I was fitter then. Now I have it stuff in the corner of my store area and refuse to even catch a glimpse of it. It is now covered with a large plastic bag because it IS A WHITE ELEPHANT AND IS COLLECTING DUST!

We Have More Fishes!

I am so short of time today. I want to get lots of things prepared before I go on a trip this Sunday. I have to pack the girls' stuff, and of course my never ending emergency packs (I'll write about it one day), Ah Boy's clothes (he is so busy no time to pack), and my own personal things and things I want to get for my family. I also mustn't forget Lea's formula that she must have every morning and some snacks as our driving will take about 5 hours or more. Kids get cranky travelling for hours and I also need to get some DVDs for them to watch in the car.

This morning, my helper changed the water for the fish aquarium.. Seelah.. Ah Boy bought fishes and we have to do most of the job. sigh... Then somewhere in mid day, I was rushing some work, Sofiya told me, 'Maam... you got cucu (grandkids)'. I was kind of blur about what she meant.

My first reaction was did Lea bring another baby or neighbour toddler into our house again? Lea likes to invites toddlers into our house that she will lead all the way from the playground... and the parents and grandparents sure to follow one. I have to entertain strangers in our houses most of the time... sigh

So, that cucu Sofiya meant was actually baby fishes that the fish in the aquarium had just had the eggs hateched! Gosh, we only had the fish less than 2 weeks and these fishes are already breeding? Oh my! Look at the snapshots... it's true you know.. LOOK for yourself!

Sheryl Crow Rocks

In April, through BDMM, I wrote a post about my favourite Artist of mine. Sheryl Crow. I've been listening to her music for many years and I really like her unique voice. In the post yesterday, I received a package of gift items in return for the post. It was a DVD concert of her, a Vaseline Cocoa Butter Moisturiser and another Toiletry item. I was really glad because I never get enough of her music. Even now, I have it playing on my television and my two young girls are gyrating away to her concert... hahaha I have pictures for you here. Check it out.

I just want to say thank you to BDMM for giving me the opportunity to write and make money blogging. I am sure all the BDMM supporters too stand by Elina and cheer her on, whatever happens. The people of BDMM has always been present, we will be patient while you build the website again.

China Earthquake - Sad News

The recent news about the man who was stuck under the slabs of concrete for 72 hours and his perseverance to live on for his expecting wife struck a bitter chord in me. It was heart wrenching that he could not be saved as he had some complications following the rescue. There has been so many natural disasters happening within a short span of time and the world saw many lives just been destroyed in China and Myanmar. It really woke me up to how blessed I am with my family here with. What can be done to make them happy and feel loved is to be done and said today for we will never know what tomorrow brings.

This is the YouTube video I was talking about. Perhaps it should be a lesson for everyone to wake up and think about the unfortunate.

Secure Your Home

We took some time scrutinizing the security of homes lately. We read about some homes across the causeway that had been the target of break-ins whilst the owners were at work. It seemed that the security problem is posing a threat to the people nowadays. Some of them had installed expensive security systems and yet had these been tweaked and their home being robbed within a short span of time. There are many ways of having a good protective system that works in a housing estate. In fact, systems alone will not deter burglars from breaking in as they may have learnt the art of tweaking the security systems as part of their skills for theft.

One of a good way to start of home security strategy is having a neighbourhood watch. Lights that sense motion and also surveillance cameras are also reinforcements. Items like a deadbolt lock, safe boxes should also be something to think about if you have expensive items in your homes. One must remember that a good home security does not equate to only security systems, so why not find out what are the measures in detail you can do to make sure it is not easy prey to theft.

Big Foot Slippers

My desktop cleaning brought me to discover so many more photos which were everywhere! I had better start filing my stuff in their proper folders. I saw this cute photo of Rae when she was about 6 years and was wearing my bedroom slippers. Whenever I put these on, my girls all burst into giggles! Even my helper does that. It is a big foot bedroom slipper! I adore it absolutely!

This hilarious thingy was a gift from the girls' Godma and it makes me smile whenever I am wearing them. I have it worn only downstairs because my girls love to put their little feet in them and walk around. I worry that if I have them upstairs, it would be too big for their little feet and it is dangerous to wear it walking down the stairs.

Find Your Old School Picture Here. It Works!

I found this website through a friend's email recently. Wherever you are, this website will be able to help you find your school (alma mater) and a picture of you too. It is amazing how some people can do so much to do this superb service. All you need to do is to click on the link, then key in your school that you attended, at anytime of the year. If you like to see your school or picture in your college or even primary school, the success rate is still 98% it says. I am not sure how many had unsuccessful rate looking for it based on the 2% unsuccessful result.

I tried it. You should try it. When you have done it, perhaps you might want to comment if you looked geeky or silly then. I just couldn't recognize my face anymore...hahaha

Need Info About Your Caller?

There are times when you receive multiple calls from someone but you really have no idea who he or she is. So how do you get information about that number? You may be in for a surprise if that could be a long lost friend who had been trying to get in touch with you. A good way to search for such number information would be to register for a Reverse Cell Phone Lookup. This will help you keep in touch with all the numbers you receive from your cell phone and also prevent yourself from future nuisance calls from unwelcome party as well. Such services can be selected based on per report or even unlimited access for a whole year. And what about your personal information that you would prefer not to reveal? They, too have a service called No Call List Information that prevents your personal info from being revealed to allow you more privacy.

Economy Food

Streets had been opened at a mall for some time. Before that a restaurant by the name of Sakura had been struggling. Many food outlets and shops usually face lots of competition with others in Singapore especially after a few years when the demand has died down. In the past 3 years, lots of Hong Kong street cafe outlets had sprung up, just like the Taiwanese street food. This one is kind of like a cross between Hong Kong, Western and the region. Well it has all the usual Hong Kong Wanton Noodles, Hor Fan and more. But it also has a selection of baked rice, spaghetti, fish and chips too. They also incorporate hot stone sets and not to mention Milk teas that resemble Taiwan bubble teas.

And the highlight of the day? I got a shock when I saw that besides the proper food menu they offer, they even had Nissin noodles with luncheon meat and fried egg! WOW! Take a look at the snapshot of the menu I took the other day.

Online Shopping Convenience

Shopping online has it's benefits. Best price, free shipping, discounted rates, free gifts are some of the extras you get when you do some research in the various websites around. I normally search for an item by keying in the the item in the search engine, then the list of the different sites online appear. However, what I really do not like is that it takes a lot of research going through so many sites and I may not be able to find the best price if I have to click through all the sites of which some are just reviews from blogs.

Lucky me when I discovered MiracleShopper Comparison Shopping that solves all my troubles, and gives me a list of different stores without me looking into each site individually. It has ratings, summarized information about their extra value when you are ordering your products from them.

Some websites they feature offer free shipping and that is saving a lot of money because buying a gift that is heavy can bring your price up with it's additional shipping cost. There are some that offer a special discount that also helps to offset the cost slightly. With all these special offers, I am really spoilt for choice. Shopping there really saves me a lot of time. Search for a particular product in the categories and click on compare price. That should give you a list of the same products, but offered by different retailers. Pick the best price and best value and save money. They also offer items featured on eBay and Amazon and some of the most trusted sites for your assurance.

Holidays Coming

Now that the school holidays are around the corner, I am also looking for activities for the girls. I know they love anything that has to do with art and crafts but I thought I'd like them to do something more outdoor since they are home most of the time. The last holidays, there were activities like tennis clinics and swim clinics at the club but apparently I don't see any starting for this May-June holidays. The school holidays will be for about 3-4 weeks and they start school somewhere in the third week of June.

I think they will like going to theme parks in the east and we probably might arrange for a night out at the chalet and barbeque as usual. I better check the dates and see if they are available. It is really very popular and difficult to get a chalet in the east during this time. Hopefully Rae has met the minimum requirements for height for some rides! She will be so disappointed if she won't be able to sit on the cycle monorail at the top. She had tried to get a ride 3 times and thrice, she didn't meet the minimum requirements!

Rate Different Hosting Sites in One Place

I know many bloggers are using free hosted sites like mine here for the convenience and also because one does not need to pay. However, I do know quite a few have started having their own domains and got it hosted with the many hosting companies in cyberspace. There are so many so choose from. In my other blog which I pay for hosting, I did spend a good many months just surfing for feedbacks and asking around bloggers which hosting companies works best. I get quite many different views, feedbacks and it was not easy to put them together and make comparisons.

Help is on the way if you need to make comparisons. There is an new website that will review all the various hosting sites online and collate the answers from the feedbacks and experience. See how many hosting companies there are in the market and you'll be surprised at the result. This website will also be featuring ratings, price and tutorials to help you with uncertainty. You can put your mind at ease with their friendly service for setups and more. Find out how to get cheap web hosting that suits your budget or get one that may cost you a little more with different benefits. Is there really a lot of difference?

Online Convenience

Last few days, I was at Popular to get a book when I also got an educational CDrom for Lea. It was a Disney's Mickey learning cd about Getting Ready for School. She likes Mickey and Minnie characters and wanted to buy it. Howeever when we brought if back we couldn't seem to get it installed. It couldn't complete the installations for whatever reason I am not sure. I had checked the minimum requirements for installation and there shouldn't be any problem. I don't have any applications running and I had just chosen the standard installation. But when I tried to uninstall the program and reinstall, it didn't happen. It was really frustrating. I had bought many educational CDRoms and I never encountered such problem before.

I tried to install it for almost a day. I gave up and decided to bring it back to Popular. The people at Popular asked me to call the tel no at the back of the CDrom assistance but I thought I rather just get a refund because that meant I have to wait till Monday. All that trouble for a child's cdrom? I asked the lady at Popular to try it on her office PC cos if it was not user friendly, I'd really not buy it. She also tried and found that she had the same problem. So now instead of looking for cdroms for my girls, I am searching online instead. And I found this Yahoo Kids' website which was also cool with games and more.

Dragon Ball Figures

This mean figure is called Dragonball? I'm not really sure. It's a Japanese figurine. The box had the name Dragonball on it. We have two of these. One is this and another one is a shorter figure with the yellow hair. See the box and see what I mean.

What do people do with these? Are they warriors? Are they heroes or beasts? I am not into Japan anime or anything close to that. So anyone out there is a fan? What does it do? Is this a comic figure? Tell me Tell me!! My girls find them 'so ugly'. Their words. Daddy puts them on the display cabinet but he has no idea what they are.. hahahah. What a peculiar family we are. Want to know how we got these?

Win a MacBook Air with Secondbrain's Official Launch

Our brain functions like a library where all the addresses, resources and information are stored into little cells. So when we need some information, we know where to get it once it is in our mind and when we do not, we start searching, asking or do a little research in all the places we think we can get information. With new information, we store it in the brain library and use it when the time arrives. Secondbrain takes a look at basically the same concept, except that it is found online. A personal online library, it collects information and resource from many other sources, organize the content, and even keep track and update when necessary. In this place is where you can find the people that shares same content like a pool of library, and make contact with other users.

A brilliant idea to bring people together and sharing resources. It will be officially launched in end of May and even before the end month, is seeing a steady stream of visitors, registrations, and content building up. This is also the place whereby you handle all your personal bookmarks and web content in one place. No worries if you are on the road or traveled to other countries and need to remember the websites that you had bookmarked at home. This is the place you can manage all your searches, photos, video and information. It is your personal content library.

In conjunction with the upcoming official launch is the Secondbrain Macbook Air contest whereby those who have registered with Secondbrain, added some content, created his own personal collection of content may stand to win a MacBook Air. Other prizes in the list includes Xbox 360, ipod Nano and Amazon gift certificates. It is simply easy because all you need is to have the best combination of personal content and community and you will able to own one of the launching prizes. Hurry up and register now. This contest is open before the launch, end of May.

My Cherished Moments

This is a picture of Rae taken when she was about 3 years old, in our little cafe. She had just gotten back from a role of a little piggy for her nursery concert. How time flies and how I miss her baby years. I cannot bear to think how fast she will grow into an adult and have her own life.

I guess every mom thinks the same. When they are this young, sometimes they get too attached or sticky to us and we try to let them mingle out more. But now when they are wanting to spend their time with their friends, we miss babying them and feel a little lonely.

Perhaps that is the role of the Mother. We have to learn to be strong to teach them to grow and leave the nest? The role of the Mother should not be for one of the mother alone, but even for those who have guardians who have cared and love a child in his or her growing years. I hope you will come to realize that it is the process of 'mothering' the child. Happy Mother's Day to those who have been the guardians of the young. It could be an aunt, granny, or even the single father.

Natural Looking Silk Plants

I love nature, trees and gardens. However, living in a high rise building leaves me very little opportunity to have greens as these need lots of maintenance and proper planters pot. I also have to worry about water that may stay stagnant. The authority from the national environment agency and volunteers comes to check in our homes very frequent like few times a month to make sure we do not have stagnant water in little nooks or areas that can breed mosquitos that cause dengue fever.

However I have found a great idea to have plants in my house for decorative purpose and to create the ambience I want. A home that looks green enough yet without much maintenance. That is to have fake plants in my home. Did you know that artificial trees, plants and flowers are a wonderful and it looks as good as a real plant. I don't have to bother about fertilizer, watering, and dirty soil that may cause bugs or insects to be crawling among the pots too.

One other concern when having real plants would be pollens. Dust and pollens are a pest to my eldest daughter who has a sensitive nose. My youngest daughter recently has been having rashes that has no conclusive result yet. Due to this, I have to monitor her as close as possible with regards to food and things around the house. With these problems in mind, I have to get rid of even my little herb pot in my kitchen. I am now replacing real plants with silk plants in my living hall and balcony. These plants look as good as real. They have been designed with quality in mind and they make outstanding gifts to your friends, business contacts and families. Giving these beautiful plants that lasts will definitely mean you will remembered for as long as the plants survived, and that is for a long, long time. No dropping leaves, the leaves are healthy green all the time!

My Mini Mart

I have lots of food at home. In my kitchen cabinet I have few cupboards dedicated for food, stored with cans of soup, processed food, mushrooms, UHT milk, sauces in bottles and whatever I may have forgotten.

But most of the guests who come into my home gets shocked by this food larder that is in my dining area. It is actually a chiller that I don't turn on since I already have one in the kitchen and a chest freezer. As utility bill comes up close to $200 per month, I thought I better use this as a food larder instead. I used this fridge to chill self service soft drinks in a little cafe i operated years ago.

When my friends see this, they normally joke that I was doing a mini mart business! I have this habit of shopping for grocery and I can't stop buying. I know some succumbed to shopping therapy for clothes, shoes, bags and that stuff. But me, ahem... guess this is shopping therapy to me. I even have a large white opaque box full of kids' titbits and another one to store bottles of soda, coke, ice lemon tea, and ribena in easy packs.

I can't stop shopping. I even bought a carton of instant noodles once because they were on offer. It took a long time to consume them but the expiry date was much later. I have lots of sauces that I use, cake products because I bake twice a week too.

Faced by the intention of killing all evil from earth, Light started to bring justice to his own hands. However, when he realized that he is being monitored suspiciously by the police, his greed and wants of keeping the notebook started him wiping out law enforcement agents.

Like the movie? Well it will be screened in US, nationwide on May 20th and 21st, 2008. Don't miss your chance to watch it during these two days. Check out ifathom.com for a listing of the cinema near you.

I wouldn't mind having supernatural powers, frankly. Something like being able to move at lightning speed. I'm always short of time lately. It would be great to do things zippy with supernatural powers. Perhaps it is just my wishful thinking.

Perverts Under Water

I love to watch commercials. They are short little clips of fun, humour, interesting and edited brilliantly. There are some good ones and some that were banned from the public eye. These could have been those that created racist, biased, too much violence, political suggestions or perhaps illicit for the general public. I found some commercials that had good concepts but didn't reach us due to some reasons we probably didn't know about. Here is one that proved hilarious.

It is also a form of education for ladies to be aware of some perverts lurking out there.

Enjoy this one. This is from Denmark. I wonder why they were banned? Do you think it may be too influential to the public?

Severe Visibility

On September 11, 2001 - a Pentagon disaster occured whereby a commercial 757 jet airliner crashed head-on in the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

Intrigue, suspense and evidence threw U.S. Army Major Stanley Kruter into a state of shock and devastating truth when he discovered evidence that suggests the contradict information of the Government's official information was nothing but deception.

Severe Visibility is all about acts of foreign terrorists or was it Government deception. Find out the truth in the film by Paul Cross, that was nominated by Best North American Film in the Kuala Lumpur International Film Festival, 2007. To Order DVD or find out more information about the film, you can go to severevisibility.com or just watch the trailer.

Lunch at Suntec City

Yesterday, as usual, Sundays are spent as family day. This weekend is also in conjunction with Singapore's Family Week celebration whereby many places are giving special price for family day outing. We figured there will be big crowds at the usual family-day-out places, like Zoo, Birdpark, Duck tours, Hippo rides and also the new Singapore Flyer that had just been launched. Singapore Flyer is the observation wheel that you can sit on watch breathtaking sights of Singapore and beyond. It is also the largest observation wheel in the world so if you are in Singapore do make it a point to pay this place a visit.

We wanted to have a nice family lunch at a restaurant so we headed to Suntec because it was a place with many restaurant varieties. I am a fan of Tony Romas restaurant, which is famous for it's ribs. I love their beef ribs in there. It was my day to select a restaurant since it was Mother's Day.. (and no Bak Kut Teh, for once.. please!)

Suntec has many food outlets with 5 tower buildings closing in on their Fountain of Wealth, we took some time searching fruitlessly for Tony Romas. In case you are wondering what is this Fountain of Wealth, it is a very large water feature or fountain, known as the largest in the world in the Guinness Book of World Records. It was built with 5 towers shaped like a palm closing in and is claimed as one of the best fengshui features for success. This is the place whereby many would come at 8pm in the evening to walk into the fountain three rounds, clockwise for that blessing of wealth. There are specific openings during the other times of the day for walks too but I've heard that the 8pm walks prove to be the luckiest one so far.

So we were in Tony Romas restaurant when we discovered that they had no regular menu for the day. (It was Mother's Day, how can we forget) I didn't like the menu, really cos I wanted the Beef Ribs so we left the place and decided to go for Sizzlers, instead. Sizzlers was also having their special buffet menu so we decided to give it a try. I didn't take photos on the food cos I felt that it being buffet, was just basically food on the plate. It was ok but the price was about $26++ per person (3 adults, 2 kids for us) plus 2 other ala carte main course. I figured the total bill came up to about $150 including taxes.

The kids had a great time because they helped themselves with helpings of soup, fruits and ice cream and gorged enough of those with extra helpings of chocolate sauce, caramel and toppings... After our lunch, we went to our favourite family entertainment center!

Get iSold It To Sell Your Items On eBay

I love to shop online. I am not keen in going to malls for shopping trips as I don't really like crowds and most of the time when I am free to shop is when the shops are closed for business. Online shopping works for me, in my own time and comfort.

My dear friend is a collector of Hollywood movie stars' premiums. Well, not just any movie star but a few selective ones. Imagine her delight if I were to show her a unique collection featuring Marilyn Monroe-The Golden Collection Plates. I want to surprise it for her Anniversary present. It can be shipped direct to her in Australia and I am so excited. The current bid for selling price has gone up to $110.27 but it is a limited edition collection. It was available for auction on eBay. I like to shop in eBay because it has variety. You can find anything here. But I have reservations about putting up my items up there on sale. I need to value the items, post them online and monitor it. That takes away my time. I'd rather be shopping than doing all that.

I found a solution, however. I found iSold It, an online store that helps you sell your stuff. All you need to do is bring your items to your local iSold It store and hand it to them. As iSold It personnels are trained with an eye for details, valuation and sales, they will help you to market your products for you. They will help to advertise your items on eBay for you. It takes away the work on your side. They even help you to take snapshots of your products. All you need to do is just take your receipt and wait for your items being sold and collect your money. This works for some of us who are busy and may not have the time to coordinate and send information to each potential buyer of your product. Leave it to the professionals and a trusted site like iSold It.

You should try it. It's simple and fuss free.

Want to Wish All My Blogger Friends, their Moms a very HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Before I was a mom, Mother's Day is something I wish and not really dwell so much in the thoughts. Now that I am one, it dawned upon me how much sacrifice, unconditioned love and commitment a mother does just for their children. When the kids are young, they do not realise although they can feel the love their mom's give but as we grow older and embrace the role, we realise how much extent we go to just to make sure they are happy, safe and in good hands when we are not around. Our kids' happiness is tied to our heartstrings.

Jung SuWon

For many in the Martial Arts world, the name Tae Yun Kim is no stranger. She is the well known Grandmaster and also the founder of the Jung SuWon Martial Art Academy. Jug SuWon is an alternative to the Korean Taekwondo. It is a gentle version and has created a large following over the years. The emphasis is not into competition but more wholesome and promotes unifying of the mind, body and spirit.

The Food

This is the tent-full of people at the Charity Fair. This tent houses the food stalls. There are many types of food in the food fair. We have varieties like Hungarian, Kerala, Nyonya, Filipino. We got there about 9am and thought we were early but guess what! As the day got closer to noon, the crowd started pouring in, it was hard to move. You'd either get stuck in the tent and have to make small snail's move to slowly manoeuvre out to the open space. The tent was set up in the car park outside the church. We left the charity fair late morning when it was getting hot.

I didn't try all the food in there. The Spicy Mee Goreng from one of the stalls made an impression. Totally yummy. It was too packed and the girls were pestering to go to the building where the games are. There were there for the games, daddy and I wanted to check out the food. We gave up and went to the game stalls. The girls also got their balloons and their popcorn.

Buehler's Market Place, A Store And More

There is a deli located in downtown St. Leonard, Maryland. For most of the people who have had generations of their family living in around this town, would be familiar with the family name Buehler. Buehler's family had been running the town's grocery business for more than 3 generation and although they are not located in the original location in 1932, the family had stayed in this business year after year. Buehler's Market Place, as it is known, now not only runs a grocery store. They have added a deli now to offer you a wide range of daily breakfast, lunch and dinner specials. You also will be spoilt for choice with their large collection of over 10,000 bottles of specialty wines to choose from.

Pygmy Hippo

I spent some time spring cleaning my desktop. Some pictures I have are placed on the 'Debris' folder that I created because I wasn't sure where to put them. This pic was taken during one of the many many zoo trips we took the girls to. At first I thought the pic not presentable but looking at it second time, it's not that bad.

If i'm not wrong this was the Pygmy Hippo I took when it was swimming underwater. Lea was a bit frightened by the sight but Rae kept on knocking on the glass. The glass is very thick and I think it is slighly magnified for visitors easy viewing. I do have more pictures that I want to post before I throw them out. Hopefully I can complete them in the next few days.

Want To Be A Casting Director?

240x180

How about time to play the role as a Casting Director? The world of fashion and design needs participants from the public to send their entries for a video. Want to try it out? It is about the all American most comfortable classic wear of all time, Dockers. Dockers contest will be open for submissions from now until June 6, 2008. You only need to shoot a 30 seconds video shot.

Get your creative talent noticed. The winner will have his or her video aired on the ever popular show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. If you think you don't have what it takes, you can still make a vote for the best Dockers commercial created and posted. My personal favourite is the Define Pants by ScotthDuke. I think he captured the essense of what Dockers is all about. The Pants.

Dockers made its presence with it's original Khaki pants and has created such a fashion icon with Khaki. In fact, at one time, out of every 10 Americans at least 7 will have a pair of Dockers pants in his wardrobe. Now although many designers have taken the concept of Khaki and made some adjustments, alterations, tweak the style a little bit, Dockers still maintained as the original brand that created the classic comfort wear of all times. I love the signature colours Dockers had adopted. The neutral, earthly tones are a great way to mix and match each piece of wear and it works great. You don't have to be worried about over dressing, under dressed or transition from workplace to the turf for a game of golf. Dockers clothings seemed to have married Style, Elegance, Sporty with Comfort, big time. Dockers started with office wear and moved on to ladies line a year later. Now it has boys wear and even beddings for the home.
