Snow Wishes

It's snowing! It's snowing! Let's go out and build a Snowman!

Snowing in tropical Singapore? Not really actually. I found this image of Lea as I was organizing the photo folders. I had forgotten taking this of her for a while. It was done before her school concert about Christmas and Winter.

Well, I'm sure many would also like to have that. But for the time being, perhaps the only closest thing is to visit Snow City that is located just next to Science Centre. I've not being there. I wonder if they open during the Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year in Singapore and Malaysia are always well known to be hot scorching days. I hope my girls recover from their runny noses soon. Seems like I heard many people are getting sick this week too.

I'm boiling a large pot of herbal tea now.

Hi Constance...'snow in Singapore'?
Past three days, today....we have been in the deep freeze. Temp at -29'c. !!!
Your fridge freezer is about 0'c or -1'c. So you can imagine the frigid cold we now experiencing.
Our windows all iced up.

My car looks like its made of glass, ice covered with icicles under the doors look like lace curtains.

The snow outside the houses about 4 feet to 6 feet high and now turned to solid ice...have to be very careful when reversing our car, or else like the Titanic all over, ha ha.
Can see lots of cars with bent exhust pipes too.
And driving on icy roads like dancing the waltz, ha ha.

I have to scrape the ice from my car windows before driving off.

BUT? It is beautiful when it snows especially at nights drifting by my window. And right now outside every house, tree covered with snow like in postcards. And the sky is clear blue...

Your kid will love it here...kids when going out bundle up in their Anoraks, hood, gloves, boots, woolen scarves...only can see their eyes...and off they go making snowmen, sliding down slopes on cardboards etc. Kids always have fun in winter.

I love Winter. Lee.
ps, your kid looks very cute, love the cheeky wink.

Just like your little girl, I miss snow as well. It was a disappointment for me that it only snowed mildly in Paris when I was there. I would not even consider that as snow - the moment it hit the ground it melted. I would love to have snow in Malaysia too but not the blizzard encountered in New England or Canada. I love it when it snows. The only disadvantage is when it melts. The melted snow will form a layer of ice on the ground surface. You may slip and fall stepping on the thin layer of ice. Cars may skid too.

Oh...I hate scrapping ice from the car's windows in the early morning too...
