Compare the Best Price in Shopping

Shopping online is a weakness I admit defeat. There are so many shopping sites and I can just be on my pc whole day just surfing, checking information for products that are interesting, worth buying or even something that attracts me enough to buy it for a friend. There are many things in online shopping that you cannot get from the brick and mortar shop. Last week, after trying out Xbox at a friend's home, we decided to look for one online. We knew the market rate that was selling in the mall, the gadget shop near home and across the causeway. We decided to check it out online and see if we can find more competitive pricing instead.

That is when I realised that I don't have to surf into so many online stores or go into search engines. MiracleShopper Comparison Shopping has everything we need to know. All we did was key in our specific requirements for the Xbox and the website will sort out a list of matches and list out up to 7 or 10 stores that offers the same product online. That really save a lot of trouble for us. There are also reviews that had been posted by buyers, details on the product, shipping information (some even throw in free shipping based on minimum amount order) and some even throw in freebies! MiracleShopper Comparison Shopping really understands what it's customers wants and does not subject it's customers to buying from just a selected source. In all honesty and frank, I think I shall be doing most of my shopping from this site, because they have practically everything on site, including the kitchen sink! (pun intended)

Coupon Chief Comes in Handy

Easter is celebrated fondly by children and adults alike. As it is usually a long weekend with Sunday as a fun day for kids, lots of parties are in the line. It is also a time to be looking out for gifts for the yearly Easter Party organised by my friend. Gifts and chocolate eggs are exchanged as gifts for our treasure hunt prizes and most of the time, I am designated the same task for purchase of gifts. This year, I prefer to shop for gifts online and not be in the crowd in town.

CouponChief.com allows me to do just that. There is a large selection of items by brands and stores that you can purchase using discounts from Coupon Chief. This is the place you can consider as a one stop shop for any gifts online. Use the coupon to get attractive discounts, free shipping, free stuff and more. Without the coupon you might end up paying a whole lot more. I was looking for shoes for myself until I saw Zappos coupons come in handy since they have goods like Dr. Martens, Hush Puppies and New Balance. For kids' prizes, I am considering using the Buy.com coupons since they have 10% off Little Tikes Toys. No need to wait for sales seasons.

No Phototaking Allowed

Remember a week ago when I frequented the Pasar Malam? Well I was snapping happily at the stalls that lined up when I received a rude shock from a lady at one of the stalls. Still I managed to take the shot of the stall, before she defendsively stood in front of me and said in a stern voice ' pu ke yi pai! pu ke yi pai!' In Mandarin, she said I wasn't allowed to take the shots of her stall. Which I already did, before her hand cupped my handphone camera..

What do you think why she disallow me to do it.. Actually I think she was selling some goods that probably infringe some copyright.. or something. Well her stall had some nice things that my girls love and I also bought 2 umbrellas and a little bag from her other worker. It didn't bother me but she was there to make sure I didn't take any photos.. hahaha

Can you guess what were the stuff she sold that I am not allowed to take shots? If she could bravely do a business here, what is she afraid of? hmmmm... This pasar malam usually stays at a designated place for minimum 3 days to a week or more. This one stayed for about a week, after which they pack up and head on to another destination to display their goods.

Black Friday Shopping Online

Black Friday marks the end of Thanksgiving and also the day when the malls get crowded with Christmas Shoppers. For someone like me, going shopping at the mall is something I dread. I cannot really stand the crowds and there seemed to be no end to people shopping, buying and going window shopping. The worst is during the festive period when most are doing their last minute shopping and without a care to the world, they shoved themselves into the stores, and made their way for the items without any concern for others, especially those with young children. My best retail therapy so far has been shopping online, to avoid the crowd, and also to be able to browze items, products at my own time, pace and without that irritating sales person tailing you.

If you are like me, love shopping for products, gifts that give the best value for money, you should check out a website offering black friday shopping online. Black Friday.info is a website offering an endless list of shopping experience with the best prices online, using coupon and coupon codes. Choose from the popular books and magazines from Amazon.com, designer clothings or products from Designer Linens Outlet, kids' favourite from Disney Store or even get coupon codes to purchase from you favourite Ikea store. View them by store or even by category. Coupons for items or new products are being added regularly so you will never be short of best value for money items. You can fill in your email address so that whenever a new product is added according to your interest requirement, you will receive an email message.

Beautiful Gemstones

My granny gave me a bracelet for my own since young. It was the most brilliant thing I've ever seen. I've had this fetish for shiny gems since young. I'd put them against the sunlight and look into them and watch how they glitter and shine with every twist and turns. The love for gems had stayed on with me till now. When I was 16, my mum gave me this beautiful sapphire ear studs. It was meant to be my birthstone. Sad to say, I lost a side of it and it really broke my heart. I still have the other half, maybe one day to reset it into a pendant or ring. Nowadays, when I think of giving birthday presents, that is what I like to do. Give them gemstones of their month of their choice. Gemstones are said to bring them luck when worn on.

I discovered this website that sells gemstones set on 14k Gold. They have a wide choice of designs and they are indeed beautiful. I really dislike walking into a jewelery store because they make you feel obligated to buy and they are tailing you every step of the way. That is why I like to source for gemstones on the net. Check out Gemz N Gold. Their items are reasonably priced and if you like you can pay using PayPal too. Get them for birthdays, anniversaries, valentines, mother's day or even good for christening gifts.

Nice Retro Bag

I'm so crazy over bags. Can't get enough. Like to surf around looking for bags and I just saw one that was in a website selling baby stuff. Although they feature it as a Diaper bag, I think it will do great for a multi purpose or weekend bag. The colours are just so calming and very retro looking too. If you're a mum with an infant, you'll love it. It has two main compartments, zip pockets for your wallets, keys, exterior side pockets, a large padded change mat for that change of diaper, insulated bottle holder, zip top wet purse (don't really know what that means), double handle straps and another detachable web strap..

Shopping in town

Today was a shopping trip for us. We were in Suntec City since we didn't fancy walking in crowd-frenzy Orchard. 22nd to 24th are days when Orchard is jam packed you can't get parking anywhere and also the queue at the cashiers are like an hour long. Two hours long for gift wraps.

Suntec City was also crowded but we didn't mind since we usually would just buzz in Carrefour, ToysRus, MyPlayground, and the kids play area. Lunch was at the food court. This place is buzzling with activity because of the wide range of food. You can get Boon Tong Kee Chicken Rice in this foodcourt too. So it's not entirely hawker fare but just sized down outlets.

Above: Eel and Beef Teriyaki Set, Below: Saba Fish Set.

Me, as usual would go for Japanese while Ah Boy loves Korean. We seemed to have the same diet even if we are in different food location. I had my Eel and Beef Teriyaki Set and he had his favourite Saba Set. The kids, I ordered BBQ Chicken with yellow rice and from another stall ordered Roast Duck and Roast Pork as sides.

After lunch, we went into Carrefour. It had changed since we last visited maybe in October. Downstairs the food section was the same but the layout for non-food items upstairs were different.

I did some shopping, bought some blouses that I fancy. I took 7 pcs, my record high for one time shopping and at the cashier, felt a bit guilty, put back 2 pcs. Well, I had tighten my budget for sooo long you know. So 5pcs is not really alot! And they were cheap, OKAY? Ladies clothes had extra 20% discount today! Grab Grab Grab!!! Bought a three-quarter (dunno how to type that in numeric) pants for Rae and a trainer pants for Lea (wanna cut down on her expensive MamyPoko diaper pants).

After the shopping at Carrefour, we went out to the Kid's area. On every Sunday here, they serve FREE candy floss, balloons and sometimes popcorn too! The kids went on to queue up at the candy floss queue. Then they went to the hall to watch cartoons too. I just ronda around (I went to ToysRus, shhhhhh...) to double check the price of BabyAlive and PixelChic.
I'd gotten it at another mall last Sunday, I just needed to know how much ToysRus sells... Phewww... not any cheaper or I'd kick myself! In fact those were nett price and it was label, Utimate Christmas Gifts! I saw some other Baby dolls which were like less than $15 with the same things BabyAlive has but the only thing is that, it's not automated. Never mindlah. Quality is good. I got a family game like the olden days Congkak. Thought would be fun to play it with them at home this Christmas holiday. Got it wrapped at the counter and told a white lie when Rae asked who the present is for... Then it was about 6pm and we decided it was really a long day out already.

FREE Candy Floss and Cartoon Time!

Nitetime Say Goodnight Time.. I'd gotten the presents wrapped and placed them by the Christmas Tree. The girls are asleep now... Nite Nite Girls, Your Guardian Angels are probably watching over you..

Presents waiting for the girls

It was a tiring day altogether, but at least I did enjoyed it.

Winx Club prezzies and more

Winx Club Fever

I was trying to wrap the Christmas presents last night after the girls have gone to FairyLand. (They insisted they don't like Dreamland, so made up this FairyLand) Rae loves the Winx Club heroines especially Flora. Please don't ask me which one is Flora. Mummy don't pay attention to these details, unfortunately. Rae insists that every night she visits FairyLand to meet up with Flora, what can I say. As long as they are not bugging mummy when it comes to wrapping the presents!

So the gifts are wrapped up. Well not them all. Because I didn't realise that I was gonna get such large gifts! After wrapping up Baby Alive and the Pixel Chix, I hardly have enough paper for the Winx Club clothes for Rae, the BJ Soft Toy for Lea and also some other little stuff that I have to wrap on behalf of Santa. I thought I'd get some boxes and put them in first before wrapping since they look neater and certainly won't have their nippy fingers 'accidentally' tear the gifts open before Christmas! I probably need to rewrap the virtual game for Rae because of its irregular size that is looking odd now.

I love gift wrapping, most of the time. But last year Rae was in nursery so when both are in school, I could do it. Now that Rae is having her holiday, I have to wait till later at night.

Shopping for Christmas Toys

We were out shopping this afternoon. Christmas is just around the corner and I haven't set up anything. Procrastinating, what else can I say. The girls were already making a list of their gifts, it is a BIG LIST and I told my elder one, I will only buy ONE, not all. Lea on the other hand gets her sis to write for her since she hasn't learn to read and write words yet. BUT Rae certainly made a big list for her too.. sigh.

They have two lists each. One for Santa and the other for Mommy! Taking them out shopping is usually met with tantrums by my little one. She sheds crocodile tears.. and Rae will certainly illustrate her disappoinment clearly as well. Gosh do you know that the gifts they choose are really so expensive? Blame the idiot box of course! The things they choose can be as expensive as over S$50. I don't remember getting such an expensive toy during my age! Kids these days are really lucky! The toy stores have so many things for them. In my days, toys were practically D.I.Y. sort. We played whatever we could get our hands of around the house and environment we lived.

So what did Daddy the Saint got for them? Check the pics out. After getting them, we told the girls that the store was gonna have a Fire-Drill and we have to evacuate the place. But actually it was to let Daddy queue up, pay, wrapped and quickly put them into the car boot.

Of course the girls were disappointed and kicked up such a fuss! After all, what a lousy idea it is to go to the toy store, let them pick some toys and not buy any. The whole journey home was met with alot of disapproval fr Rae, who said she decided she wanted a real pet since we weren't buying anything. And Lea, well, she kept going on about the Baby Alive she saw. She loves baby dolls. We got Lea a Baby Alive baby doll and a virtual handheld Pixel Chic for Rae. It was awfully expensive.. but I guess seeing the joy on their face during Christmas is worth it..
