Lea Loves To Dance

It's been a long time since I posted videos of Lea grooving away. Last night as we were watching a local entertainment show - Sheng Shiong show, there were few chinese numbers. The music was upbeat and Lea loves it. She got right up and dance away and I hurried to get my mobile to record it. Sometimes I wonder how she will do if I enter her in a dance competition.. She'll be right at home, I'm sure!

So, here it is, enjoy!

Hi Constance, looks like your daughter has an ear for music and especially the beat.

The beat is very important, and obviously it caught your daughter's ears.

As an example, several of my friends took up ballroom dancing but they sure shocked me when at a dance party, a song was playing and they asked me, "Lee, what is it"?
Holy Smoke! To think they learned dancing not knowing to distinguish a waltz or Foxtrot or a Tango?

When I teach my friends, I never teach them to dance first...but we sit down and listen to all kinds of music, from cha cha to a Quickstep...I make them listen, understand the different beats.
It is the beat of the drums, the tempo, fast or slow, the rhythm we must know before setting foot on the dance floor.

And Constance, your daughter got the ear for the beat. And its never too early to encourage her to dance.
As well, get her a piano. Lots of kids here start playing the piano by 3 and 4 years, by 6 they are very good.
She's cute....and she has that swing and the rhythm too. Yes Constance, I can see a future ballroom dancer in her.

You have a nice day Constance. If free pop over my place, got something for you. Best regards, Lee.
