Local coffees

Singapore has quite a few popular cafes/kopitiams serving the local buttered toast with kaya (egg jam) and the old fashioned coffee. The popular ones are like Yakun, Wang Chai and Toastbox. I was in the west area with Dragon the other day when this outlet where we had a quick breaky caught my eye.

The outlet was called Ah Hock Kaya Roti. Hahaha.. I thought the name was err very local. It was pretty funny though. So I just had to put up a pic of their product poster up. I didn't take any pics of the food, but I think you'll probably be able to see it in Dragon's blog or Blog it with Allen.

Dragon is on his way back to Penang, so you'll see him online real soon. It was fun having him around in Singapore. You should see his worried look whenever I am driving. I'm pretty sure he's uttering some prayer under his breath..hahaha! Kinda sad to say goodbye because it's not often you get to meet friends and be such good buddies in just a week. I'm the type who don't like to say goodbyes lah. That's where my weakness is, so don't ever anyone dare ask me to send him or her off, ya.

An old picture of the history of Ah Hock Kaya Roti
(probably his peddlar kaya-roti days)

Anyway, I shall be back to online chatting soon, untill the New Year unfolds. Taoju: you'll be able to chat online evenings soon. Laksa: hopefully will get to see you online more often soon ya. School reopens in 3 weeks time, that also means, Mum's Taxi will be back in progress, and my blood pressure will definitely be rising too. More homework and exams in school.. sigh, this is so stressful.

I need to work out my 2008 New Year resolution too. Do you have your New Year resolution?
