Traditional Kopi is Best

I enjoy that cup of traditional coffee from the local coffeeshop. Do you? Although I do enjoy that cup of Espresso every now and then, I still cannot live without the good 'ol cup of kopitiam kopi.

My mom recently got me started to love the Tesco house brand of kopi. Before I tried it, I had been buying many brands from Owl, Kapalapi, Diamond, and even some other brands like Ipoh white coffee and even the Old Kopitiam brand.

The traditional old coffee is done using a large stainless steel or aluminium kind of pot with a long neck. Also they use a special muslin cloth bag. That is to strain the coffee beans that is grinded and wok fried with margarine. It smells heavenly when they make a new pot of coffee.

When I visited Yakun Kaya Toast, I am always amused by their posters about comparing Western coffee with the Local ones. I saw this and took a picture of it. It says: Screw the French Press. We've Got the Sock. I thought it was very well funny, with tongue in cheek in it.
