Hide and Seek

Last Wednesday was Ah Boy's birthday. We wanted to celebrate with a dinner but he was busy and couldn't take time off. So I told the girls they can choose a small cake and celebrate blowing the birthday candle with daddy. It was Lea's idea to choose an Elmo cake and Rae didn't really mind. So I got a small block cake, because we have been baking cakes lately and I think we still have some bitter chocolate cake at home. (see the pix whereby the girls got bored waiting for daddy)

As it was a small block cake, I didn't ask for the actual no of candles as I don't think it's right. So I only ask to have only one candle, after all it was for the girls to enjoy a cake blowing session with daddy. Daddy is not a cake fan... Last year we got him a 1kg Superman Mango cake and no one wanted to eat the cake after the first piece. It was left in the fridge for a while and Sofiya had the opportunity devoured it all. You could almost hear her smacking her lips for a week. hahahah.

In the evening, Rae and Lea kept calling daddy every 10 minutes to see if daddy was on the way. When daddy said he was gonna reach soon, the girls decided to hide and surprise daddy.

Rae to Lea "Let's Hide! but where?!" They hid under a table(behind the doll's pram. They then decided to change location. Behind some cupboards. Rae covers her face with her homemade card!

Rae decided to make a quick run and change location again! Behind the wall. Hurry Lea, squat down! Check first! Yes Daddy's coming!

Finally, Daddy came back. Happy Birthday Daddy!! Lea gets to blow the birthday cake at last...

Ling - hahha.. yes..things like that are very invaluable to us. simple appreciation from the children is worth a zillion more than materials.

once they grow up, we can only cherish them as sweet memories..

Dora - yes, that's my old man... i'd have either wrote my old man or ah boy but i prefer the latter..kekeke

My gals are the same. When there's a cake cutting session, they will call daddy every 10 mins to pester him to come back.
